ITANAGAR, Mar 11: Wancho Students Union (WSU) has vehemently condemned the kidnapping and physical assault as well as attempt to murder of two Wancho boys namely Wangli Mikham and Mankhu Wangsu by a group of people led by one Pradip at Pune, Maharashtra on March 10 last.
Seeking immediate intervention of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju as well as the Maharashtra government to take action against culprits involved in the incident, WSU informed that both victims are natives of Kanubari, Longding District and are staying in Pune since October 2017 for a six months course under Nagaland Tools & Training Centre.
On the intervening night of March 10 last, at around 9/10pm the main culprit identified as Pradip with his gang came to the campus and took the duo to a jungle area where they tortured them without any valid reason, informed WSU in its release.
Demanding strong action, Union also asserted that one NTTC staff Ganish Singh is hand in glove with the main culprit and allowed the culprit to kidnap the two trainees from Arunachal.
