Aalo, Jul 31: World Ranger Day was celebrated today here at the Aalo Forest Range Office as a mark of acknowledgement of efforts of the frontline forest staff who work round the clock to protect environment and wildlife.
I/c, Along Forest Range Dhawan Kumar Rawat said that the occasion is an opportunity to recognize the efforts of the forest staff and motivate them and wished that from next year it becomes an annual function across all forest divisions of Arunachal Pradesh.
World Ranger Day was first celebrated in 2007 by International Ranger Foundation and is aimed at letting people know about the unsung heroes who work tirelessly in plantation work, checking of poaching & illegal felling of trees or in animal rescue operations. DIPRO
