PASIGHAT, Apr 25: World Malaria Day was observed today in Pasighat with the theme “Zero Malaria Starts With Me” to create more awareness about the disease and encourage greater participation of the people in resistance activities.
To mark the day, a rally was taken out from Bakin Pertin General Hospital to the main market area, which was flagged off by the Joint Director (BPGH) Dr D Raina in presence of DMO Dr Kaling Dai, MS Dr YR Darang, DPO Dr Tarik Talom, DVBDCPO Dr Keni Lego, GNM & ANM students and staff.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Raina spoke on the menace and consequences of malaria and methods in preventing the dreaded disease. He appealed the people to keep their surroundings clean in order to keep themselves safe from the disease. DIPRO
