Governor chairs high-level security review meeting
ITANAGAR, Apr 10: Along with the rest of the globe, Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday observed the World Homoeopathy Day, commemorating the 263rd birth anniversary of Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, who had discovered the system of alternative medicine, homoeopathy.
The Itanagar-based Donyi-Polo Homeopathic Charitable Dispensary, a sister organization of Donyi-Polo Mission (a famed NGO) founded by former Chief Minister Gegong Apang, celebrated the 263rd birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hahnemann here this morning in a befitting manner.
Gracing the occasion, Dr M Dai, secretary cum registrar of Arunachal Pradesh Homoeopathy Council along with Dr Riyom Taipodia, nodal officer, homeopathy, AYUSH branch, Directorate of Health Services, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh and Dr Animesh Mukherjee, SMO of the Dispensary paid rich tributes to the father of homeopathy.
The dignitaries also cut a birthday cake and blew out candles at the brief function that also witnessed sweets distribution among the dignitaries and invitees.
Earlier, Dr Mukherjee gave a brief on the life of Dr Hahnemann as well as the glorious journey of the Dispensary, being run under the stewardship of the visionary leader Apang. The guests present appreciated the Dispensary for rendering yeomen service to the people of the State for the past three-and-a-half decades.
The World Homoeopathy Day was also observed by the Arunachal Pradesh Homoeopathy Council (APHC) along with AYUSH Branch of the Directorate of Health Services, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh in a function at Naharlagun to mark the 263rd birth anniversary of Dr Hahnemann.
