Aalo, Apr 19: A one day workshop with the theme ‘Folk and Tribal Healing Practices in Arunachal Pradesh’ was conducted here at The North East Frontier Technical University(NEFTU) on  April 15.
Organized by Anthropos India Foundation in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, New Delhi, the workshop was chaired by Associate Professor at the School of Social Sciences (Anthropology) Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi Dr. Sunita Reddy, who shared her findings on the subject gathered from Sikkim and other parts of Northeast India.
Presentations on tribal folk medicine & healing practices, discussions and interactions with the students, faculties and staff of NEFTU were the highlights of the workshop.
It concluded with the hope that there will be efforts on part of both the academia and administration to document the traditional tribal folk healing practices. DIPRO
