PALIN, Nov 27: The District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), Palin conducted a day long workshop under Support to Urban Street Vendors (SUSV) and Social Mobilization & Institution Development (SM&ID) component of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) here at UD Conference Hall, Palin for Surveyed Street Vendors and Self Help Group registered under DUDA, Palin.
Member Secretary, DUDA Palin spoke about health consciousness of street vendors and urged them to be hygienic not only at home but their place of work.
Resource persons from various departments spoke on topics such as food safety, maintenance of hygiene, waste disposals, use of biodegradable waste etc.
On the occasion 7 SHGs members received revolving fund of Rs. 10,000 each and 82 registered street vendors were given one-day wage amounting to Rs.300 each through Public Finance Management System (PFMS) portal.
