ITANAGAR, Jul 5: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union (AAPWU) has appealed the state government to provide proper Personal Protective Equipment kits like gloves, mask and sanitizer to all the workers during the lockdown period.
Addressing a press conference at Press Club today, President AAPWU  Taku Tagu said the labour community is the first responder in any situation. "From clearing roadblocks to collecting garbage from every sector of the twin capital there is no excuse for them. Therefore the concerned department should provide required PPE for the workers."

While responding to a query on termination of job and pending salaries of many contingency staff, he informed that after lockdown team of AAPWU will meet the Chief Secretary on the same issue.

'We will also speak with all the Deputy Commissioners on Rs 4000 honorarium announced by the state government for organized & unorganized sector labourers," he added.
All the private sectors, companies, industries   executing work in the state should provide  at least  masks, sanitizer and maintain social distancing while working in their jurisdiction, said General Secretary (HQ) AAPWU, Tadar Dowa.
