Itanagar, Jun 22 : Women Helpline 181(WHL) and One Stop Centre(OSC) run by Oju Welfare Association, in coordination with the interns of various universities of the country organized an awareness programme on the issue of rampant child labour and increasing instances of child harassment/molestation.
The event was aimed at generating awareness about child labour, good touch & bad touch and stranger dangers and to spread the message ‘Let them learn, not earn’. Trainer Chera Nukuyu spoke about good & bad touch and stranger dangers, Toko Dopin spoke about Childline 1098, while Tarh Naki briefed about Women Helpline 181.
WHL also conducted a skit on ‘Child Labour’ in Oju Mission School, Papu Nallah with the objective of sensitizing the young ones about the ways to remain protected from unwanted social atrocities. Women Helpline Press Release
