Itanagar, Aug 9: The members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) led by its Chairperson, Radhilu Chai Techi visited Oju Welfare Association and interacted with the inmates.
The team had conversations with the rescued children in the Children’s Home and also with the special children in Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA). Besides this, they visited the Women Helpline and One Stop Centre run by the organization. Ratan Anya briefed the gathering about the schemes run by the organization. Later the team interacted with the women survivors from child marriage and domestic problems individually and assured them to solve their cases at the earliest. APSCW Chairperson advised the inmates to abide by the rules and regulations of the organization.
Appreciating the yeoman service rendered by OWA, the Commission donated a sum of Rs.50,000 as medical expenses for the inmates of Swadhar Greh and Children’s Home. Sanitary pads were also provided to the inmates with the advice to maintain personal hygiene. APSCW PR
