ITANAGAR, Jan 27: A first of its kind female centric three day long Art exhibition themed “Emancipation” got underway here at Chimchoo Art Gallery on Monday. The exhibition is being organized by Chimchoo Art Gallery in association with the Wildflower Production wherein artworks exclusively by women are put on display.
The exhibition was inaugurated today by APSCW, Chairperson, Radhilu Chai Techi amidst huge gathering of art lovers and female artists.
Talking to journalists, Techi said that she was very happy to see amazing artworks by women artists, who presented unique and inspiring stories about the role of women in society through arts in addition to facilitating a true picture about women experiencing violence and crime in society
Specifically referring to creative pieces by artist Sunidhi , Techi said “I am overwhelmed to see her artworks that throw light on the lives of women in society”.
Techi hoped that such exhibitions will not only help women artists to showcase their talent but would go a long way towards promoting empowerment of women in society.
Techi further praised the works of other artists and admired the efforts of the organizer to portray the myriad of challenges faced by women in society through unique and meaningful artworks.
The exhibition is showcasing beautiful creation by approximately 11 female artists till January 29.
