ITANAGAR, Feb 2: After recovery of more than a dozen stolen SUVs from different parts of the capital region by the Capital Police over the last few days, an unidentified person on Saturday midnight surrendered his SUV (Fortuner) near Museum Road.
The owner of the car, which is white in colour also left a chit with a message “I voluntarily surrender my car. Anybody please call the police”. The chit was pasted on the side window, and the key was left inside the car with another chit containing a message “Thanks dear brother”. This was informed by the Superintendent of Police, Capital Complex Tumme Amo.
The police team led by Inspector Dujom Bagra and SI N Nishant recovered the SUV. Two more Fortuners had been recovered since January 30, taking the haul to 14, SP informed.
