ITANAGAR, Jun 24: Reacting to social media trolls and allegations of nepotism related to the recently held Walk-in-Interview in the department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, Assistant Controller LM&CA, Taba Tabin informed that the department will soon come up with detailed clarification on the controversy.
Speaking to media, Tabin informed that the department is aware of the controversy related to the recently held walk-in-interview for the post of Web Manager and Counselors. He also disclosed that with proper discussion with the Secretary of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, the department will make public its clarification on the controversy.
Meanwhile, social activist, Advocate SD Loda met the Controller of the department and inquired about the allegation leveled against the department. ‘As of now we cannot blame or claim any foul play unless we get some significant evidence against the department. However we have sought information under the Right to Information Act, so will wait for that and act accordingly.'
Earlier, on June 3 last, Department of LM&CA published an advertisement for walk-in interview for the post of one Web Manager and two Counselors for its State Consumer Helpline room. However, controversy arose when the advertisement was published on the same day as the date of the interview and the surnames of the three selected candidates were similar to the board members.
