TAWANG, Feb 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today launched the WiFi hotspot for Tawang and Dirang here in presence of MoS Home Kiren Rijiju, legislators Tsering Tashi, Phurpa Tsering and Jambey Tashi.
Speaking at the launching ceremony held at DC office, Khandu said the WiFi services have been rolled out as per the budget announcement. He said similar WiFi hotspots were launched earlier in several educational institutions in the state capital.
Chief Minister said 66 access points in Tawang and 12 in Dirang will be installed, which will be capable of providing WiFi service to 124 users at each access points.
Asserting that the government is giving push to usage of IT Technology in governance, he informed that by 2021 all government offices will be made paperless. He said the advantage of having paperless e-office is to stop manipulation, ensure transparency and provide easy access of services to the people.
Chief Minister further lauded the district administration for carrying out Sarkar Aapke Dwar effectively across the district. He expressed happiness that Tawang has been selected among the five top performing districts in implementing Sarkar Aapke Dwar camps for Gold medal in the coming statehood day. CMO
