Aalo, May 30: Sustained efforts spanning eight months to segregate the rural-urban power feeder lines in West Siang finally materialized on Saturday which is well ahead of the scheduled shutdown deadline amid cheers by the district’s citizens.
The entire operation was led by EE Power Er. Dagyom Ango and the long-felt segregation was made to do away with lengthy feeder lines in rural areas that resulted in frequent power faults which also equally affected the urban areas. After the new arrangement there will now be a single feeder line for rural areas and Aalo township will be having a total of three feeder lines including the pre-existing 11 KV. With this upgradation, power scenario in West Siang and adjoining districts is expected to see further improvement.
It needs mentioning that the district’s power situation has improved drastically after Ango took charge as EE Power a year ago. DIPRO
