Aalo, Jul 11: Incessant rain which has been continuing over the past few days has resulted in communication bottlenecks in various parts of West Siang district.
Restoration work of the main road near Aalo helipad which is almost eroded leading to traffic jams has been undertaken. The Aalo-Pangin-Pasighat road that was blocked on the evening of July 10 was cleared this morning at around 11 am. Many passengers were left stranded for hours and those who went out this morning in the early hours had to return back. Aalo-Likabali road too is blocked forcing people to take the Aalo-Pasighat route.
Minor incidents of blocking of roads in administrative circles and sub-divisions have also been reported causing acute problems for passengers. Auto drivers and other vehicles parked beneath big trees have been cautioned not to do so. DDMO Nima Dorjee is closely monitoring the water loggings, rise in river level, erosions etc. DIPRO
