Aalo, Jun 18: The District Task Force on Routine Immunization during a meeting here at the DC’s Conference Hall on Thursday reviewed West Siang’s overall performance in 2019-20 and the Micro Plan for 2020-21.
Chairing the meeting, DC Moki Loyi while mentioning that immunization is one of the biggest pan-India project of the central government, stressed on proper survey involving doctors, teachers, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers to achieve more than 90% coverage in the district by December 2020, which is the official deadline. 
Stressing on the need to conduct block level meetings to set the desired targets, he also asked the Medical Officers to keep close rapport with the administrative officers to sort out the hurdles in service delivery and other problems that require administrative intervention. He added that he will be conducting a meeting shortly with all administrative officers and the issues concerning doctors may be brought up for discussion.
DMO Dr. Moli Riba emphasised on intensified efforts to devise more realistic micro plans focusing on Forms 3, 4 and 5. “After bifurcation of districts, West Siang has now become more compact and it is easier to raise the present 76% coverage to a much higher target within the remaining months,” DMO added. 
In-charge Deputy Director ICDS Baye Koyu assured that necessary instructions will be sent to all Anganwadi workers in the district to make the programme successful. 
Medical Superintendent Dr. Linya Lollen, DFWO Dr. Tomar Kamki deliberated on review mechanism, routine immunization and its targets and achievements through a PowerPoint presentation.
Doctors from the CHCs, PHCs and Sub-centres shared their suggestions and problems faced while implementing the Routine Immunization target. DIPRO
