Aalo, Apr 15: West Siang Police has initiated the “Each One Help One” campaign in the district through which one needy family will be adopted during the prolonged lockdown period.
The campaign now covers 37 needy families who will be given ration to tide over the difficult period and will continue till normalcy returns and economic activities resume. The district police have also appealed others to help them in spreading the campaign and anyone willing to work will also be helped in this regard. 
Meanwhile, the “Mask for All” campaign is being continued at sectors and villages by APDA West Siang unit and so far 486 homemade masks have been distributed. Voluntary donations also continue to flow in and proprietor, Yomgo Automobiles Kengam Ete has contributed Rs. 51,000, Galo Ane Rs. 20,000 and Officers’ Hally Welly DD UD & Housing, EE PWD Er. Minjom Padu & DPO Marjum Karga are the notable contributors. Around 150 migrant labourers have been given shelter at New Market Aalo where self-lockdown is in force.
NGO named The PAYA and Galo Youth Organisation (GYO) members are rendering exceptional voluntary services by assisting the medical and police teams at Hissam checkgate to keep vigil on flow of men and material into the district. DIPRO
