Aalo, Jul 1: The National Doctors’ Day was observed by the West Siang Unit of Arunachal Pradesh Doctors’ Association (APDA) on Wednesday through felicitation of the district’s frontline Covid-19 warriors who have been working day and night in battling the pandemic.
All sanitary assistants and caretakers of CCC, QF, DCHC, bio-waste management team of the Urban department, lab technicians/sample collectors, disinfection team, drivers and other frontline risk takers were presented with T-shirts inscribed “You are Our Hero” by the APDA on the occasion.
President, APDA and DMO West Siang Dr. Moli Riba while terming the rank and file of the frontline fighters as the main workforce, exhorted them to keep alive the fight in a cohesive and committed manner, also seeking their apology for not meeting all the needs due to various limitations. Secretary, APDA Dr. Olen Tatak and Covid-19 Awareness District In-charge Dr. Jumge Padu said that the objective behind celebrating this year’s Doctors’ Day in a different way was to encourage the frontline workers.
The APDA team will be visiting all the quarantine facility centres of the district to distribute the T-shirts to encourage the frontline workers who could not attend the felicitation programme due to preoccupations. DIPRO
