AALO, Jul 27: In an effort to tackle traffic congestion in the township area, the West Siang District Administration today sealed a few Sumo counters here for failing to shift at the earmarked central location near the previous State Transport Cooperative Services.
The drive led by EAC Lijum Ete, District Tourism Officer Hummo Taipodia and Officer-in-charge of Aalo Police Station was undertaken keeping in view of the mushrooming Tata Sumo Counters that are causing traffic congestion in the township.
It may be recalled that District Administration had earlier designated the areas for Sumo Counters with toilet facilities and resting places after consultation with Tata Sumo and Auto Drivers’ Association. According to the authorities, a second round of sealing will be initiated if disobey of the order continues. DIPRO
