Aalo, Mar 26: To work out the modalities for ensuring delivery of essential commodities to the consumers of West Siang district during the ongoing lockdown period, the District Administration under Chairmanship of ADC Liyi Bagra today conducted a meeting here at DC’s Conference Hall with the line department officers and stakeholders.
It was decided that three to four departmental vehicles will be requisitioned to lift all required essential commodities in sectors and colonies on a roaster basis to tide over any ration crisis situation. The ADC was specific on locating the students, labourers and businessmen who have come to the district during past two weeks who need to be quarantined and kept under close observation for two weeks. The DF&CSO and market committees will tie up with all shopkeepers to supply the required commodities on a rotational basis.
Meanwhile, the lockdown here in district headquarter and other administrative outposts are being maintained. Many of the villages are also performing traditional rituals to ward off the disease while in some villages and sectors, fencings have been erected to ban entry of vehicles and people from outside. 
The Paktu Ao Youth Welfare Association who has volunteered to be a part of the lockdown campaign will also be engaged for various duties. DIPRO
