BOMDILA, Mar 23: In pursuance of state government’s order announcing a partial lockdown in state to curb the spread of coronavirus, a meeting to discuss the ways and means for its proper implementation in West Kameng district was held here at DC’s office on Monday which was attended by all stakeholders.
DC Karma Leki while underscoring the need for such preventive measures, urged the district’s people to refrain from panic buying and warned against hoarding and black marketing. Directing the departments, offices and financial institutions for proper sanitization of the inner and outer premises along with strict adherence of personal hygiene by the staff and officers, DC also directed the essential services departments to provide proper and adequate services to the people during the lockdown period beginning from 5 pm of March 23 to 2400 hours of March 31. He also took stock of all essential commodities including LPG and POL items in the district headquarters and identified 20 new single rooms at Bomdila as quarantine facilities in addition to the earlier identified ones as standbys.
