BOMDILA, Jun 23: In the wake of emergence of more Covid-19 positive cases and alleged violation of SOPs in West Kameng district, a coordination meeting was held on Tuesday by the District Administration with the Army, SSB, ITBP, 14 & 42 BRTF, administrative officers, district police, Medical Officers, CBOs, NGOs, student unions and other stakeholders.
Reiterating the need for enhanced coordination by all stakeholders in containing the pandemic, DC Karma Leki urged for better team work and strict adherence to the SOPs by all concerned. Highlighting the Covid-19 IEC activities under ARC in the district, DC asked the SSB to take up their own IEC activities to allay fear and panic among locals and directed the 14 BRTF to register with the ICMR portal at the earliest. DMO Dr. D Wange briefed on the SOP for quarantine. SP Raja Banthia spoke on the SOPs at Point of Entry (POE) and on legal provisions. Representatives from Army, BRO, SSB and ITBP placed their issues and current status of operation and resolved to work in tandem with the local administration adhering to the SOPs. The participating stakeholders assured all-possible help in monitoring and containing the pandemic under DA’s guidance.
