ITANAGAR, Apr 7:

Young weightlifter, Katu Yomcha from West Siang District has been selected to represent the country in the 6^th International Strength lifting & Incline Bench Press Championship 2018 slated to be held at Bali, Indonesia from April 7 to 10. 

She will participate in category- 65 KG class Sr. Women (SL & IBP) and is part of the 55 member strong Indian delegation. A professional female weightlifter, Yomcha brought laurels for the country and in particular state by winning many medals in national and international championships in the past.

Meanwhile informing this, the Arunachal Pradesh strength weightlifting association has thanked all well-wishers who had helped in sponsoring the trip while at the same time urged the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs to render necessary support to the association for promotion of strength weightlifting sports.
