RONO HILLS, Jun 18: A two-day webinar titled ‘Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence’ commenced today here at the Rajiv Gandhi University organized by its Department of Electronics & Communication and Computer Science & Engineering.
RGU VC Professor Saket Kushwaha opined that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be integrated with the existing technologies to improve the teaching-learning experience amid the current Covid-19 pandemic and highlighted its role in treatment of corona patients. Pro-VC Professor A. Mitra underscored the importance of AI and how it can be used to make India one of the best technological countries in the world.
Registrar Professor Tomo Riba said that AI has brought revolutionary changes in the technology sector particularly in its usage. Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering Professor Utpal Bhattacharjee said existing technologies need to be upgraded which is possible by using AI. Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur and Resource Person of the webinar Dr. Aheibam Dinamani Singh gave an overview of AI and its applications in different fields to technology and highlighted its applicability in fighting the pandemic.
Maibam Sanju Meetei and Bomken Kamdak Bam were the conveners of the webinar which was attended by more than one hundred participants from various universities and colleges across the country. RGU PR
