YINGKIONG, Jul 23: A coordination meeting to review the Public Distribution System(PDS)/Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS) under National Food Security Act(NFSA) and for finding ways of streamlining the same was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner, Yingkiong Karma Leki, here on July 22 last, attended by all outpost district administration officers and FPS owners.
The DC while seeking suggestions from stockholders for improvement of the system along with listening to their grievances, reiterated that commodities should reach the actual intended beneficiaries. After a detailed discussion, he ordered the DF&CSO Yingkiong to correct all ration cards booked erroneously and constitute a committee headed by ADC to streamline the process. It was further decided to co-opt one member from FPS holders in the committee subdivision-wise for which all FPS holders are to nominate the same accordingly.
Meanwhile, Minister HFW, WCD etc Alo Libang was accorded a civic reception here at the Circuit
House by Ponung Party, DHoDs, staff, public leaders, business community & GBs of Upper Siang district on his first visit to his hometown after winning the election.
MLA, Mariyang-Geku Kanggong Taku was present in the programme. The minister will also be attending district planning committee/district planning board and district coordination meetings. DIPRO
