Itanagar, July 2: Heavy downpour during the last week has heavily damaged various water supply system in urban and rural areas of Naharlagun Division in various sectors and villages. 
The PHE&WS department, Naharlagun Division has requested consumers to cooperate with the department informing that tankers are being pressed in areas wherever possible. 
Normal water supply to the areas will be hampered till restoration is completed and even after restoration it will take 2 or 3 days for normal water supply, the department said in a release.
The affected areas are Polo colony, Pachin, Nirjuli and lekhi urban areas including several villages in the rural vicinity.
