KANUBARI, Aug 14: MLA Kanubari Gabriel D Wangsu inaugurated newly constructed school building of Government Upper Primary School Banfera in Kanubari today in presence of Headmaster of the school, HoDs, PRI leaders and students.
In his speech Wangsu said that ‘the building is first of its kind in the constituency which has G+ 2 provisions. The ground floor is completed and we will start constructing the first as well as second floor within a couple of days with rain water harvesting facilities'.
While speaking on shortages of furniture as well as teachers in the schools, Wangsu said observing the situation HoDs have voluntarily donated at least 50 pairs of desk and benches. On non-availability of teachers, the MLA informed that the same problem is being faced by most of the schools of the state; however, the government is rationalizing teachers to curb the problem.
Runu Students Union (RSU) has submitted a memorandum to MLA seeking his intervention for construction of Anganwadi Center at Banfera and protection wall for PMGSY road etc.
