ITANAGAR, Feb 18: In an effort to create awareness on the ill-effects of plastics, the Urban Development and Housing Department will conduct a walkathon on February 21 under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) on the theme "Arunachal Against Single-Use Plastics". The walk will start from the Dera Natung Government College Campus and culminate at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Hall.
The first, second and third positiond carry cash reward of Rs 20000, Rs 15000 and RS 10000 respectively, including consolation prizes of Rs 3000 to five participants. Meanwhile, the department has requested those who wish to participate in the program to reach at 6:00 am sharp at the DN campus.
