PASIGHAT, May 7: Visually impaired Yatum Ete, running a small shop near public bus stand, Pasighat, donated 350 face masks to the East Siang district administration this morning through the East Siang DIPRO, Deepali Dodum to be given free to those who can’t afford one.
Ete had lost 100 percent vision years ago. After learning that administration has made it mandatory for denizens to wear face coverings outside to prevent the spread of coronavirus, he donated the masks today.
Few days ago, led by Tapun Taki, District Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pasighat organized awareness camp and distributed 450 masks to the daily wage earners at Saw Mill area.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh appreciated Yatum Ete and all individuals and organizations for their contributions, willing to help the poor and the community at large during this unprecedented time. DIPRO
