NAMSAI, May 8: Amid allegations of poor management of the quarantine centre at the PTC, people of Mahadevpur under Lekang Circle of Namsai district is extending extraordinary support to the administration by providing fruits to the stranded people who are under quarantine at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
“We are thankful to the villagers for their noble gesture and this gives us more motivation to execute our service dedicatedly,” said Extra Assistant Commissioner Namsai, Wathai Mossang. He also informed that the JNV quarantine facility has been divided as per the travel history of the stranded such as green, orange and red zones.
“As of now, there are 64 people here including 28 females and 36 males and till date no one has been accommodated at the red zone,” he added.
EAC informed that the centre has a walk-in sample kiosk for collection of swab samples. He also disclosed that the medical team is collecting the samples and after three days if the result comes negative, the concerned person is being advised for home quarantine under strict vigilance.
