ITANAGAR, Jan 2: The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme for capital Itanagar was held today with the IEC van covering various areas in Itanagar and Naharlagun while making a stopover camp at Akashdeep, Bank Tinali near Kingcup School and G extension Naharlagun. During the program, documentaries on developmental activities and initiatives of the union government were screened.
The Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom flagged off the IEC vehicle in the presence of EAC Itanagar Khoda Lasa, Corporator, public leaders, beneficiaries and officers from various departments.
Various services were provided by the departments including issuance of forms under various schemes. The DC felicitated the beneficiaries of various schemes and distributed various items like gas cylinder and stoves to the beneficiaries of Ujwala Yojana.
The DC informed that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to raise awareness relating to the implementation of various government schemes and to reach out to the vulnerable population eligible under multiple schemes.
The DPO Chuku Talo informed that the VBSY would cover other rural areas of Capital Itanagar in the coming days during the Seva Aapke Dwar camps.
