Tarasso, Jan 7: Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Pige Ligu along with Superintendent of Police Jimmy Chiram, ADC Balijan Tasso Gambo and others visited Sango village under Tarasso Circle where the dwelling house of one Tana Taji was vandalized by the Assam forest officials on January 2 last.
As per the statement of the victim, Assam forest officials destroyed all his household belongings and also looted a cash amount of Rs.30,000. Taking cognizance of the incident, an FIR was also lodged at Tarasso PS on January 6. Meanwhile, SP Papum Pare has directed the OC of Tarasso PS to write to the DFO of Biswanath Charali, Assam regarding the incident.
