YINGKIONG, Jul 23: Three simultaneous meetings namely, District Level Planning Committee, District Level Monitoring Committee and Coordination meetings were held today here at the Conference Hall of DC Office.
HoDs presented reports on the progress of works in the Upper Siang district under CSS and SP Schemes and placed new proposals for inclusion in Budget 2019-20 which were approved for sending to the government. Chairing the meeting Minister HFW, WCD etc Alo Libang requested the HoDs to work in unison with team spirit and advised them to keep in touch with their concerned higher authorities. MLA, Mariyang-Geku Kanggong Taku informed that the decision to re-introduce the District Planning Board and Bottom-up Planning Systems is for streamlining the overall system by removing SADA and SIDF Schemes. He emphasised on drawing genuine schemes by taking advantage of the new policy and their completion within schedule. Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki stressed on keeping prepared the 5-year perspective plan for submission as and when required. Various developmental activities were discussed thoroughly and action plan was drawn.
