YINGKIONG, Apr 20:

 

Strategic action plan to prevent use of Automatic Hand Sawing Machine which will go a long way in preservation of forests in Upper Siang was chalked out during the first meeting of District Review Committee on Wednesday.

 

The District Level Committee attended by SP Amulya Bora, Anying Boli, DFO  and Adong Pertin, SDO presided by DC Remo Kamki resolved that the ADC, Tuting will constitute Task Force separately for all the Circles falling under Tuting Sub-Division. Local representatives of Forest Department like Beat Office, Range Forest Officer will be included alongwith the OC PS, Tuting as members. The Task Force is to be headed by respective Administrative Officers.

A nil report may also be submitted if Foreign Made Automatic Hand Sawing Machine is not being used in their area. It is worthwhile to mention that the Task Force in respect of Yingkiong Circle has already been constituted and District Review Committee shall meet at least once in fortnight to supervise and coordinate the function of Task Forces of the District and submit ATR in the monthly report.
