Extending full support to the five point charter of demands placed by the Nyishi Elite society (NES), the All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has strongly criticized successive state governments for neglecting few genuine long pending issues relating to development of Nyishi community.

Terming the demand for creation of Pakke-Kessang and Khamle district as genuine, APPDSU pointed out that the creation of these two districts has been one of the long pending demands of the Nyishi community put forward by NES to connect all left out remote Nyishi areas.

 

Referring to the plight of one of the oldest, Tali ADC headquarters established in 1957, APPDSU said that the area is yet to get connected by road and appealed to the Chief Minister to give justice to the people of Tali and Kra Daadi who have been deprived of their economic and developmental rights since independence.

Furthermore, the Union also urged the Chief Minister to release fund for the Heritage Village at Hoj, construction of Itanagar-Golloso-Tarasso-Seijosa road connecting Papum Pare and East Kameng district, extendable to Bhalukpong in West Kameng district at the earliest. 

Meanwhile, the Pakke Kessang Puerang Dissang-Passo Seijosa Students Union (APPDSSU) as also strongly come out in support to demands placed by NES and appealed to the state government to fulfill the genuine grievances of the Nyishi community without any further delay.
