ITANAGAR, May 4:The All Arunachal Pradesh RTI Activists Youth Forum has requested the Director General of Police (DIG), who is also holding the charge of Managing Director, Arunachal Pradesh Housing & Welfare Cooperation  not to allow any kind of construction or maintenance of building, roads, retaining wall etc under Housing Department prior to publication of  Notice Inviting Tender(NIT).

In a representation, the union alleged that officials of concern housing department while violating the CPWD norms and guidelines is illegally awarding contract works under state annual development agenda (SADA) without floating any NIT and has also started executing few building construction that too before floating of any NIT.

Calling such unlawful activities that too happening right under the nose of DIG itself  a grave concern, the union stated  that  such dishonest activities in awarding the development works is endorsing  substandard and bad quality of work on ground , while strongly urging the DIG to strictly monitor and check such illegal activities going on under the Housing department .
