PASIGHAT, Sep 30: Union MoS for Tourism and Culture, Prahlad Singh Patel on Sunday visited various tourists spots of East Siang district and acknowledged their tourism potentials.
The MoS visited Pongging Viewpoint along Pasighat-Mariyang Highway, Bodak Village, Bodak Siang River View area, Raneghat Photography Point & Pilgrimage site, Dangaria Baba Mandir and the Pineapple Homestay at Napit Village. He was accompanied by MLAs Lombo Tayeng, Kaling Moyong, DC East Siang, Dr. Kinny Singh, Secretary Tourism, GoAP, Sadhana Deori, District Tourism Officer, T. Tatak and District Art and Culture Officer, Augusti Jamoh during his visit.At Bodak Village, the team was accorded a warm traditional welcome by villagers and traditional Ponung party.
The Mos was briefed on the tourism potentials in trekking, hiking, sightseeing, angling, rafting, kayaking, heritage, cultural & village tourism and tea & pilgrimage tourism in the district. He was also briefed about the tourism potential of the cane and bamboo traditional bridge built over the confluence of Siang and Yamne rivers near Pongging Viewpoint. DIPRO
