ITANAGAR, Mar 12:Alleging shoddy re-carpeting work on Itanagar-Jote-Poma-Sangdupota road (24 kms), All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has requested the state authority to pass strict direction to concern executing department along with contractors to maintain quality as prescribed in tender notice.
In a release, it claimed that the road construction is also going on at snail pace and raised apprehension that whether the said road after completion will be able to withstand the coming rainy season.
Seeking immediate intervention, it also asked the government to allot more funds from construction of culverts, drainage etc, while claiming that no separate funds were allotted in the package other than for re-carpeting work.
