ITANAGAR,Jul 19: An almost decomposed unidentified body has been recovered from the riverbank in between Itanagar and Naharlagun here today likely to be of a woman.
Speaking to media, SDPO Itanagar, Dekio Gumja informed that a decomposed body was discovered by a staff of Sango resort who later informed the police.
‘Police team reached the scene and retrieved the body from the river bank and will be handed over for postmortem,' said the SDPO while adding that the identity of the body is yet to be ascertained but as per preliminary report the body is probably of a female.
When asked about any missing reports, Gumja said as of now there are no missing cases in the Police stations.
