ITANAGAR, Jun 1: All Arunachal Pradesh Unemployed Engineers Association (AAPUEA) has lauded the state government for its decision to enhance the upper age limit for appearing in competitive exams.
The association further urged for exemption of examination fees for APST candidates applying for government jobs, Enhancement of job reservation ratio for APST & Non-APST candidates from 80:20 to 90:10 and implementation of the same in all the public sector undertakings and private sector.
It also demanded refund of examination fees paid to Rural Work Department and UD & Housing department for the post of JE (civil)/AUPO(civil) during 2016-17.
‘At least 3612 numbers of unemployed engineers had applied for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in RWD, paying Rs. 50/-& Rs. 100/- by APST and Non-APST candidates. Besides, thousands candidates also applied for AUPO (civil) in UD&H department paying the same amount respectively. But, suddenly the normal departmental recruitment examinations were cancelled and was immediately transferred to the APPSC for fresh conduct,’ it stated in
