CHANGLANG, Mar 7: A NSCN-R cadre was apprehended in a joint operation launched by 9 Assam Rifle and Changlang Police in Manmao circle today. Based on reliable source regarding presence of underground element in between Tirap river and New Longtoi area under Manmao circle, sustained operation was carried out.
The cadre identified as SS Sergeant Major N Mungrey has been apprehended and AK 47 ammunition, combat dress and mobile phone with SIM card were recovered from his possession.
SP Changlang Mihin Gambo, informed that a criminal case has been registered at Manmao PS against the apprehended cadre under relevant sections.
