ITANAGAR,Oct 10:The  Table Tennis Arunachal (TTA) is all set to host the first ever Kalikho Pul Memorial State Table Tennis championship (KPMSTT) from October 12 to 14 next here in the Indoor Hall, MLA Cottage.
While Speaking to media persons, Secretary  general (SG) TTA, Pasang Dingla informed at least 86 participants from 13 districts and four players from Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy  have registered for the KPMSTT championship.
“There will be three categories both for men and women in Junior, Sub-junior and Senior (open category). The tournament will start from 9 am to 7 pm and no entry fee will be charged to witness the game, he added.
Earlier, two editions of state table tennis championships were organized by TTA since its inception in 2010, but, the sport failed to get recognition among the people, said Dingla. He further extended gratitude to the family of former Chief Minister Kalikho  Pul  for sponsoring the event to encourage the  youths.
