Yingkiong, May 27: A truck carrying food grains for FCI godown, Yingkiong met with an accident on Wednesday at 2 pm at Siyang, about 4.5 km from here.
The vehicle was coming from Dhemaji bearing registration No. AS 01 KC 8853 and the driver Ashraful Islam and handyman Din Islam Bhuya sustained minor injuries. As per the driver’s version, the accident occurred due to a brake failure, but OC Yingkiong A. Miyu has hinted that it might be the three punctured tyres which caused the mishap.
