KHONSA, Nov 23:  Chairperson of  Nocte Women Association (NWA) Chasuam Wangchadong inaugurated  the ‘art exhbition – tribal trail ‘organized under the aegis of  Chabey-Yinkap Foundation at Nehru Stadium here today.
While inspecting the art exhibition stalls,  Wangchadong said that traditional art and culture in most tribal societies are dying  out due to modernization. As such this kind of Art Exhibition is  important for preservation, protection  and promotion of  traditional culture, she added. This is the first of its kind to be organized at Khonsa. Praising  the   Chabey-Yinkap  Foundation,  she appreciated it’s chairperson Yutan Chimyang for doing  tremendous work in the district in motivating and helping poor students and unemployed youths  in various fields which include distribution of free  textbooks, school uniforms and other school materials in different parts of  Tirap and Longding.
