ITANAGAR, May 13:Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju on Friday said that the trauma of isolation is now no more for Arunachal Pradesh. Before MPs and MLAs from other States used to ask where Arunachal is but now our State has been brought to centre stage of the country, he said while addressing a 5000-strong crowd at a social interaction and development meeting at Leporiang under 15th Sagalee Assembly constituency, Papum Pare District.
Extending special thanks to the people of Leporiang for their support during elections despite of strong Congress leadership in the area, Rijiju announced to connect all villages with roads within 2019. Responding to the Memorandum submitted by the people of the area, he said that mobile and phone connectivity will be immediately given to the people of Leporiang. He also announced fund for construction of school building at Governemnt Secondary School and Construction of multi-purpose tourist lodge at Leporiang to cater service to people of Papum Pare, East Kameng, West Kameng and Tawang. He also highlighted various pro poor development agenda of Narendra Modi led government at the Centre.
State BJP President, Tapir Gao who attended as guest of honour administered the joining of prominent public leaders from Leporiang and from 15th Sagalee Assembly Constituency as a whole. The prominent public figures who joined were Tana Tagum Tara , Ex-ZPM, Nabam Kakam, Ex-ASM and youth leader Nabam Tagum, Ex-ZPM, Nabam Tanang, Tana Sania, Ex-ASM, Taba Tamak, Ex-ASM, Tad Paul, Techi Lali youth leader, Adv. Nabam Regum and other 500 Congress workers.
Gao told the large crowd gathered that BJP had very difficult time in Sagalee due to presence of strong Congress leadership, but now the situation is different along with the country and tremendous wave of change is seen here at Leporiang.
Calling Ex-CM Nabam Tuki as his old friend, Gao said that, Sagalee Mai Bhi Hawa Badal Chuka Hai”, he exhorted the people that the Narendra Modi and Pema Khandu led governments are people friendly and sought the cooperation of the people for development. He also clarified on allegations of atrocities against Christians by BJP and told that party is having Christian leaders from all denominations. He called upon all to shun religious politics and join the mainstream of development.
State BJP Vice President Adv.Dominic Tadar as special guest also addressed the gathering.
