ITANAGAR, Dec 18: A one-day Intensive training programme on planning, management and implementation was conducted for districts DMO, DRCHO and other state-level programme officers of NHM at National Health Mission Training Hall today.
The training was organized by Swasth Utter Purv (sponsored by DoNER Ministry), PHFI in collaboration with National Health Mission, Government of Arunachal and Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) - Arunachal Pradesh branch. The main objective of the training programme was to equip the health administrators and programme officers with the idea of programme management and to have a good health delivery system in the State.
Special Secretary (Health & FW) cum Mission Director (NHM) Dr Kinny Singh, addressing the participants called upon them to put their heart and mind in implementing the ongoing projects and programmes in the grassroot level and advised  them to take up the programme in mission mode.
She said, the participants should make good use of training to enhance the effectiveness of the priority programme they are implementing in order to improve the overall performance of health system of the State.  Urging the participants to take the training seriously, she emphasised on quality healthcare and timely and proper implementation of the programme.
Resource persons Shomik Ray and Iti Kaushik,  both from Public Health Foundation of India, New Delhi spoke on many topics of Public Health programme management including Programme management, SWOT analysis, stakeholders management, implementation, monitoring supportive supervision and evaluation.
Later certificates were given to the participants. Other State level officials and programme officers from Directorate of Family Welfare, NHM and members of IPHA-Arunachal Pradesh branch including its president Dr. Riken Rina also participated in the day long programme.
