PASIGHAT, Jul 10: A 5-day refresher training programme under SSA for elementary school teachers has started on Monday at Mebo Block separately for primary and upper primary teachers. Altogether 138 are partaking in the training.

Deputy Director of School Education, East Siang, Jongge Yirang and retired Director Elementary Education, Bodong Yirang while attending the programme advised the teachers to get the best out of the training which in turn will benefit the students.

The DDSE informed that the training module has been developed based on the learning outcome of NAS 2017. ‘The National Achievement survey report was analyzed and weakness has been identified and effort has been made to improve those weaknesses through this training,’ he said.

While advising the participating teachers, Yirang asked the teachers to be true professionals. All teachers must follow the professional ethics, in terms of performance, behavior, dressing and attitude, he added.
