ITANAGAR, Jan 30: Three day In-house Training on Houselisting Operations and updation of National Population Register for Census of India 2021 in respect of Officers and Officials of Directorate of Census Operations, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya was held from January 28-30 at Administrative Hall, Meghalaya Secretariat, Shillong.
Bharati Chanda, Dy. Registrar General welcomed the participant. Dr. Joram Beda, IAS, Director gave a brief overview of the role of Census Officers and officials for the upcoming national task.
S. Mitra, National Trainer from Directorate of Census Operations, Assam along with four Master trainers from DCO, Arunachal Pradesh and DCO, Meghalaya imparted the training. The training was imparted on Houselisting and Housing Census, updation of National Population Register alongwith HLO App, NPR App, Mapping App and on CMMS portal.
The training for the Census functionaries of all the districts will be conducted in a phase wise manner in the month of February.
The Census of India 2021 will be conducted in two phases, Houselisting and Housing Census during April to September 2020 in all States and Population Enumeration during 9th to 28th February 2021. The updation of Natural Population Register will also be undertaken along with the Houselisting and Housing Census.
