BOMDILA, Feb 21: The two days District level training on House listing and Housing Census and Updation of National Population Register (NPR) for the Principal Officer / District Census Officer and Charge Census Officers began today at district headquarters Bomdila by the Directorate of Census Operations, Arunachal Pradesh.
District Census Officer and the Additional District Census Officer reiterating on the need for sincerity and dedication on the part of the Charge officers and other field functionaries exuded hope that the task at hand would be executed with utmost precision and professionalism.
‘Census is an exercise which facilitates research, planning and development of the country as a whole’ they added.
Deputy Registrar General Bharati Chanda dwelt on Introduction and processes of Census and NPR. Other subjects such as Legal provisions and roles & responsibilities of census functionaries, concepts & definitions with gender sensitization, preparation of rural / urban map layout, house listing and housing census schedule, mobile apps for HLO, preparation of village / town register, charge register and formation & carving of HLBs and segregating NPR records were also taken up by the Dy. Registrar General in the day one session.

The day two sessions would be dedicated to NPR concept and definitions, NPR schedule, NPR Mobile App, management & monitoring through CMMS, HLB mapping app for Supervisors and practice on CMMS portal.
Among others, all the ADCs, EACs and COs of the district with their Technical Assistants, computer operators and dealing assistants attended the training programme.
