ITANAGAR, Oct 28: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Department of Justice, GOI organised a two-day training programme for Gaon Buras and Gaon Buris of Lower Subansiri district on Synergy between Customary Laws of A P & General Laws.
The programme was attended by 53 Head Gaon Buras, Head Gaon Buris, Gaon Buras and Gaon Buris of various villages of Ziro-I, Lower Subansiri district on October  26 and 27.  Deputy Commisioner  Chukhu Taker graced the occasion as chief guest.  In his inaugural speech, he said that Gaon Buras and Gaon Buris have important role in customary law, as theyhave the power to settle petty cases in villages. 

He requested them to give fair decision without being influenced by others.
The resource persons for the programme included Budi Habung, Member Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority among others.
